False claims are often made by employees regarding the seriousness of their claimed illnesses and injuries resulting in their inability to work. Usually video surveillance can resolve these issues for the employer, followed by court testimony to substantiate the surveillance. Interviews of neighbors or others with knowledge of the subject employee can also be helpful.
